How do I split a bill?

Tap the + button on the home screen, scan your receipt or enter items manually, add your friends, then assign each item to the people who ordered it. Fork calculates everyone's share automatically.

Does Fork process payments?

No. Fork is a calculator, not a payment processor. It generates deep links to Venmo and Cash App, and copies Zelle payment info to your clipboard. All money movement happens in those apps — Fork never touches your money or financial credentials.

Where is my data stored?

Your name and payment handles (Venmo, Cash App) are stored only on your device. They are never sent to our servers unless you create and send a bill. Bill data is stored on our servers solely to keep pay links functional for your friends.

How do I pay my share of a bill?

You'll receive a link (via text or share) that opens a pay page showing exactly what you owe. Tap the Venmo or Cash App button to pay, or use the Zelle option to copy the payment details.

The receipt scan didn't pick up my items correctly. What do I do?

If the scan confidence is low, Fork will automatically show a manual entry screen. You can add, edit, or remove any line item before proceeding. Make sure the receipt photo is well-lit and flat for the best results.

How do I send a payment reminder to someone?

On the bill detail screen, tap the nudge button next to any participant who hasn't paid. Fork will send them a one-time SMS reminder. Nudges are rate-limited to prevent spam.

Can I edit a bill after sending it?

Once a bill is sent and pay links are generated, the amounts are locked. If you need to make a correction, create a new bill and share the updated link.

How do I delete my data?

To remove your local profile (name, payment handles), go to Settings in the app and tap "Clear Profile." To request deletion of bill data stored on our servers, email us at support.fork@gmail.com with the pay link URL — we'll remove it promptly.

Does Fork work without an internet connection?

You can create and manage bills offline. An internet connection is required to scan receipts (OCR), send bills (generate pay links), and send SMS nudges.

Is Fork available on Android?

Fork is currently available on iOS. Android support is planned for a future release.
